Gibney wishes women would stop judging =>OPEN
Packed To The Rafters star Rebecca Gibney wishes women would stop judging each other.
The 45-year-old actress, who admits she doesn't mind the odd bit of botox, says she hates that women are so critical of each other's appearances.
'As women we're allowed to get older but we're also allowed to try and maintain what we've got,' Gibney told AAP in Sydney where she's promoting a new Nintendo DS game.
And I think the thing that's more important is to stop judging each other.
'It's always women that judge other women.
'If we actually spent more time giving women more confidence and telling them how fabulous they are, we'd all be much happier.
'Instead of looking in a magazine, saying 'Ooh she's had too much work done, or 'Oooh she's put on weight'.
'It's like 'Stop that'.
In the midst of her 40s, with a six-year-old son, Gibney, who's up for a second Gold Logie next month, is more comfortable in her skin than ever before.
She says she keeps fit by playing Nintendo Wii, and leads a balanced life.
'Once you get over 40 it's all about moderation,' Gibney says.
'So I'm just trying to eat well, and drink lots of water and not over indulge too much.'
Gibney says botox is no big deal.
'I just believe in trying to make the most of what you've got,' Gibney says.
'And if that means a bit of filler or a bit of botox or whatever. That's fine.
'I haven't gone under the knife. Hopefully I won't.'
